Blooming Together – Our Partnership with Children of the Valley
At Skagit Acres, we believe in growing more than just flowers—we believe in growing a stronger community. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Children of the Valley (COV), a local nonprofit committed to serving under-resourced Skagit Valley children and their families by empowering them through education, personal growth, and mentorship. Together, we’re planting seeds of change and helping the next generation thrive.

About Children of the Valley
Children of the Valley's mission is to serve under-resourced Skagit Valley children and their families by empowering them through education, personal growth, and mentorship. Founded in 2006, Children of the Valley works in partnership with the Mount Vernon, Conway, Sedro-Woolley, and Burlington-Edison school districts to serve students K-8 referred by a school teacher, counselor, or administrator for exhibiting substantial personal or academic need. Free to the families and students they serve, Children of the Valley provides daily instructor-led academic assistance, enrichment activities, and social-emotional learning and mentorship opportunities, in addition to supporting families with meeting basic needs.
A Message from COV’s Executive Director
"Children of the Valley was started by the community, for the community, and we are honored to partner with a local business that shares in our commitment to investing in the next generation of Skagit County. Together, we can create an even greater impact to help our community thrive."
— Flora Lucatero, Executive Director, Children of the Valley
